The people behind the scenes who are passionate about organic food and healthy families.
Chrissie Huss, Owner & Head Gardener
Chrissie earned a B.A. in Environmental Studies from UC Santa Barbara in 1990. She has been growing food organically for over 20 years. The root of her inspiration came as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Haiti and Senegal, where agriculture was a necessity of life. These experiences sparked a curiosity about food-related challenges in her own communites. When she returned to the USA, she interned at the Central Rocky Mountain Permaculture Institute (CRMPI), managed Land's Sake, a 40-acre community farm outside of Boston, and finally, in 2000, planted her own roots in the Wood River Valley. When her hands are not in the dirt, you can find Chrissie with her nose in a book or exploring Idaho's vast wilderness with her family.
